For Radio Körner, the renowned, long-established Dresden-based retailer, we are securing and optimising the technical e-commerce infrastructure based on Shopware 5. In addition to ongoing system maintenance and performance optimisation, our focus is on ensuring a stable connection to the local ERP system and on the strategic planning of the future relaunch.

The task

Background & Challenge 

For generations, Radio Körner has been synonymous with excellent advice on hi-fi systems, TVs and multi-room solutions. The existing Shopware 5 online shop serves as a digital showroom and sales channel, but required optimisation before we took on the project:

  1. Complex ERP data synchronisation: The synchronisation of prices, stock levels and product data between the local inventory management system and the online shop had to run absolutely flawlessly.
  2. Technical maintenance: As Shopware 5 no longer receives regular updates, security and stability adjustments had to be carried out manually.
  3. Optimisation to meet current requirements: Adaptation of checkout functionalities and compliance with legal requirements within the existing Shopware 5 framework.
  4. Preparation for the relaunch: Setting the conceptual and technical course for a future-proof system migration without jeopardising historical SEO rankings.

We have taken over the overall technical support for Radio Körner and ensure secure, high-performance operations.

  • Optimisation of the local ERP integration: Revising and stabilising the interfaces with the local inventory management system. Product data, stock levels and orders are synchronised reliably and efficiently.
  • System maintenance & security support: Proactive monitoring of the Shopware 5 instance, application of critical security patches and resolution of technical issues during live operation.
  • Performance & Usability Optimisation: Optimisation of loading times (caching and database optimisation) and adaptation of the mobile checkout for a smoother ordering process on smartphones.
  • Relaunch Planning & Consultancy: Strategic preparation for the upcoming system migration. We analyse existing data structures, develop migration paths and create an SEO strategy to ensure that visibility on Google is seamlessly transferred.
